Camping In The Aberdare National Park

Last week I went on a wonderful camping trip to the Aberdare National Park.  

I was stunned by the immense beauty of the place which instantly reminded me of the welsh mountains where I grew up.  

I woke up early each morning to the delicate song of birds and the rush of the wild mountain rivers. The sky was painted with more colours than I've ever seen before, silhouetting the great Mount Kenya. 

The bushbuck where we camped are so wild and free that they know not humans and are therefor unafraid of us. 

 Isn't that beautiful?

At night the universe showed us all its glory.  

Throughout the days we were blessed with blue skies and rich green woodlands.

To think that such a heaven exists so close to where I live continues to excite me.
